Conditions / Licensing System and Copyright

This section describes our studio’s provisions regarding the licensing system and intellectual property law covered by the ‘Authorship Act,’ which is an abbreviated name for Act Nr. 121/2000 Coll., About Authorship Law, Laws Related to the Authorship Law and the Amendment of Some Laws, approved by the Parliament of the Czech Republic on April 7, 2000 and which came to effect as of December 1, 2000.

LICENSING SYSTEM RELATED TO ALL PRODUCTS WE OFFER

Licence are classified as:
- Non-Exclusive, Commercial License
- Exclusive License

Non-Exclusive, Commercial License
By non-exclusive, we mean that the license is not held exclusively by a single entity and that the products under this license may be used by multiple entities at the same time. The term commercial identifies products that may be used for commercial purposes, meaning that you can sell, without limitation, any physical products made in your production facilities from the digital data supplied by us under this license. The same does not apply to the actual digital data, CNC models (including other digital materials such as tutorials, etc.) acquired under this license is forbidden to further distribute or sell, without the written consent of the author.

Products under this type of license are available as:
- Custom Digital CNC models created under this type of license

The pluses and minuses of this license: The purchase price of the custom product made under an non-exclusive license is lower,
in turn, this product will be a part of our further offer - available for all potential customers.

Exclusive License
The term ‘exclusive’ means that the license of a product is held by only one entity. The ownership is transferred at the moment of the sale of the license from our studio to the entity that purchased the exclusive license. The owner is entitled to use the digital data, as well as physical products made from data, for commercial purposes. Please be aware that even after the sale of a license, our studio reserves the right to present itself as the work’s creator. This right enables us to use images or photographs of the project in the portfolio of our website, etc. However, after a mutual agreement, this step may be suspended (in case the customer does not wish to point to us as the producer in case of special exclusive projects). The exclusive license is transferrable, meaning that it enables the owner to sell or give it as they see fit (at that moment, the license is transferred to the new owner in its entirety and the seller loses their right to further manage it, sell again, give, etc.).

Products under this type of license are available as:
- Custom Digital CNC models created under this type of license

The pluses and minuses of this license: The purchase price of the product created under an exclusive license is higher, in turn, this product will not be a part of our further offer. There is only one owner - the buyer.¨

ADDITIONS TO COPYRIGHT

Custom Project
If interested in a custom creation, the customer may send us a photograph, an image, a drawing, and similar materials as a template for our work. 2Dto3D Studio fully respects the intellectual property rights and hereby reserves the rights to reject collaboration with an entity interested in licensing a motif to which it does not hold rights for free treatment. In such case, we may require the customer to provide us with copies of the license agreement between them and the licensor who is officially in charge of the theme. Simply put, should the customer request processing motifs such as portraits of famous people, company logos, etc. our studio may require a confirmation that the customer is legitimately entitled to handle and treat such themes. We respect intellectual property rights 100%, we can do this much and we do this much, however not in all cases are we able to verify the sent motifs (in cases where we do not know which author holds the licenses to the works of we have no sense to which entity we should turn to with the request to verify authorship). As apparent from this fact, 2Dto3D Studio bears no responsibility for the materials provided by the customers for our further treatment, whether these are legal materials on their part or an illegal abuse of a licensed motif (in the internet age, there is no problem for someone to send us photos, images, etc. downloaded from the internet and indeed it is not in our capacity to verify all received data). When registering at our website, the customer confirms that they are the legitimate holder of the motifs sent to us for processing and in case of intellectual property issues, the given case is their own responsibility, not the responsibility of our studio which, in many cases, does not have the capacity to verify authorship.
