Hi folks, new project successfully finished! Our customer (want to stay anonymous) asked us to prepare a 3D digital model of her beloved dog (german pointer). Then she asked us to use this model for a physical CNC production so we did our best and here are the results. Bust is made of beech wood and the base is chromed (thank you Tom V. for your help with the great base).
Here is also the link to see the model animation, I hope you like our new project :)

Whiskey Tap Handle Project
Published on July 15, 2015
I am happy to share with you our latest successfully finished project. Mr. Bob Williams (the owner of BGW Construction, LLC) asked us to make the digital portrait model. He sent us the sketch to work from so I did my best to deliver the quality STL file to him in time. Bob used this model for the production of the original whiskey tap handle. Tap handle is made from a piece of Oak from a 100 year old whiskey barrel made in Kentucky and is finished with linseed oil.
Bob, thank you very much for the photos that you sent us and for the permission to publish this project on our website! For those who are interested in other Bob's projects, feel free to visit his website www.bgwconstructionllc.com
Andromeda in Chains - Full 3D Model made for Centrix Co., HK
Published on November 28, 2014
New project successfully finished! In Greek mythology, Andromeda is the daughter of Cepheus, an Aethiopian king, and Cassiopeia. When Cassiopeia's hubris leads her to boast that Andromeda is more beautiful than the Nereids, Poseidon sends a sea monster, Cetus, to ravage Aethiopia as divine punishment. Andromeda is chained to a rock as a sacrifice to sate the monster, but is saved from death by Perseus, her future husband.
I've made this model for Centrix Co., HK, as the base data for 3D printing. 1st. step was to make the sketch, then I made the 3D digital model and the last step was the physical production (3D Print) done by Mr. Haynes, graphic designer and RP operator in Centrix. The physical results with all of the details looks awesome. Jason, thank you very much for the permission to publish this exclusive project on our website!
Custom Coffee Table Project. Our Sketch, Our Digital Model, Our Physical Production!
Published on June 28, 2011
Say that a customer has an original idea and would like to get a coffee table made from wood that accurately features the lines of a female body. He would like the face to be recognizable as his wife, so he sends us her photo with a supplemental description of the required product appearance. The first step is to create a few positions of a body, from which the customer selected the one you see on the picture below. As far as the technical concepts of the physical table, in this design the elbow, forehead and knees of the figure serve as the support base of the glass top. These elements are then designed so that the glass position is perfectly level. The second step was to create a digital model (image below) and finally, the third step was actual production, using CNC technology and the prepared digital data. Completing the CNC production is followed by classic woodcarving techniques, the carver finishing what CNC technology cannot manage – highlights and details where necessary, smoothing the surfaces, etc. The fourth step is the surface treatment of the table. And it´s done, enjoy the pictures of our new project!
